Gutebad är en app som får sin information om väderförhållanden från användarna. Det är användarnas rapporter om väderförhållanden, badtemperatur och algblomningsnivån observerade på olika badplatser som gör appen. Vem som helst kan använda appen för att få information om läget på olika platser men bara de som befinner sig i badplatsens område kommer att kunna rapportera väderlek, badtemperatur eller algblomning.
Appen visar också en väderprognos för varje badplats. Observera att appen använder sig av lokaliseringsuppgifter (geolocation-funktionaliteten) från din iPhone eller iPad vilket kräver användarens tillåtelse. Då en lägesrapport ska rapportras, tas din iPhone eller iPads ID, detta för att kunna ta statistic på unika uppgiftslämnare samt eventuellt blocka vissa.
Gutebad is a weather app which compiles all its information about the weather, water temperature and bloom conditions from the app users. It is in fact the end users observations and submitted reports which is the base for the app. Anyone can view the information and the latest submitted conditions on a location, however only people who are in the same area as the location can submit a report on weather, water temperature or bloom.
The app also includes a weather forecast for each location. Please note that the app uses geolocation information from the device which needs to be explicitly permitted by the user. Without this permission no submission of report can be made. The app also fetches the ID of the device when a report is submitted. The reason for this is to make an statistic on unique submitters and also the possibility to exclude misuse of the app if necessary.
